The cultists call upon him. The flayed corpses of their victims bring him from the ocean forth. The cult priest, inhabited by the Ancient One, opens his mouth and begins to speak.
lyrics
The black ocean bubbles
Arise from a watery grave
An evil from the depths
The end is nigh
My wrath invoked
I am Cthulhu
Lend me your soul
I'll rip it apart
Hopeless Abyss
Remove the meat from the skin
Pain and pleasure intertwined
My only respect for human life, soaking in blood
I'm the god of the night
Unending torture, once you are dead
The time of my reign, the streets will run red
I am your new god
Bow before me
Even the greatest army won't stop me from tearing this putrid planet in half.

Murky, bottom-heavy doomy metal that sucks you in and swallows you up. I love how the album moves from swamp as metaphor for the self-delusions that hold us back to bogs and the ancient remains they conceal within as pathways to deeper, terrifying spiritual awakenings that reveal the primeval horrors that lurk just at the edges of our consciousness.
