PTSD, Flashbacks, Night terrors, and palpitations
A poor soul remembers his travels through the void. He feels them coming to take him yet again.
lyrics
Watchers, where are you now, as the winter approaches?
Paranoia is returning
This is all too familiar
My dreamscape permeates reality
Deceived by my eyesight, my mind
Memories implanted by the sons of God
Reality is just a toy in their hands
Why can't I stop them?
Why do I lie to myself?
I know exactly what I'm seeing
Just tell yourself it's all a dream
Is there a reason I've been chosen?
Or is it all just fucking random?
Is my life just a joke to you?
Bearing the signs of the demented
Has the experience altered me?
Leaving me molded in your image
Am I not the one you orphaned?
Left to die here in the starlight
Was I not the son you wanted?
With which to travel the heavens?
Awaiting your blessed reckoning
A deluge for the ages
Consume me in astral flames so I can comprehend existence
Incinerate this whole world, if you even have the strength
I call your authority into question
What gives you the right to treat us as cattle?
Cheap illusions are the mask you wear
So many forget but I will always remember

Murky, bottom-heavy doomy metal that sucks you in and swallows you up. I love how the album moves from swamp as metaphor for the self-delusions that hold us back to bogs and the ancient remains they conceal within as pathways to deeper, terrifying spiritual awakenings that reveal the primeval horrors that lurk just at the edges of our consciousness.
